The Bahawalpur Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education was established in 1998 under the Punjab Boards of Education Act, 1976. The Board was separated from the Multan Board and started functioning as a separate Board of Education. The areas under the jurisdiction of the Bahawalpur Board are Bahawalnagar District, Bahawalpur District, and Rahim Yar Khan District. The board provides services to students for secondary and higher secondary examinations. BISE Bahawalpur has highly professional staff members who strive to provide a fair and transparent environment for examinations, and the Board announces the results of Class XII without any error. As an independent body, the Board has laid down rules and regulations for annual examinations at Matric and Intermediate levels.
