The Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Technology was founded and established by the Bank of Credit and Commerce, an international financier. BCCI founder Hassan Abidi provided a large financial capital for the university during the 1980s to promote research in computer science and emerging technologies. The foundation later established the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, inaugurated by former President and Chief of Army Staff General Pervez Musharraf in 2000. It has the privilege of being the first private sector university to have a number of campuses established under the Federal Charter, as provided for by Ordinance No. XXIII of 2000, dated July 01, 2000. Established in 1980, the sponsoring body of FAST University was registered as a charitable institution by the Government of Pakistan. FEE STRUCTURE FAST (NUCES) NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF COMPUTER AND EMERGING SCIENCES:
FAST – National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (NUCES) has a different fee structure for all campuses. Chenieot campus offers a total of seven-degree programs and Islamabad Fast Campus offers 18-degree programs for admission in 2023. The Lahore campus offers 20 programs respectively, the Karachi campus offers 12 programs for admission and the Peshawar campus offers eight programs for admission. The fee schedule for all the programs is very clear and the university is focusing on a small number of quality programmes. The fee for BBA, BS(CS), BS Engineering and BS(A&F) at Lahore and Islamabad campuses will be 152,000 in the first semester as well as NU fee for similar subjects at Karachi, Peshawar and Chiniot campuses will be 135,000.
