The application process for admission to the Virtual University is completely online and easy to follow. To apply, students need an active laptop or smartphone to fill out the form. Students can apply for admission to the Virtual University by following the steps below.

Step 1

Applicants need to first access the official website of the virtual university on any search engine (like Chrome or Firefox etc.). On the home page of the Vu website, students have to click on the “Admission” tab, which will open a drop-down menu from which they have to select “Apply Online”. After these orders, applicants will be redirected to the sign-up window for online admission for the new academic session.

Step 2

In this step, students have to register themselves on the virtual university portal. This step is necessary to apply for admission to the university. In the registration section, you will be asked to add your nationality, full name, CNIC/B-form, email address, mobile number, and a strong password. After completing all these steps applicants have to press the “Sign Up” button. Note: All applicants must include completely correct personal information, the information must match the details given on the ID card, SSC, and HSSC documents. Also, students must include their correct CNIC/B-Form number otherwise the application will be rejected by the University. Also, applicants will receive an admission confirmation link on their registered email addresses after signing up. Open your email inbox and click on the verification link provided in the official email sent by Virtual University. Once you click on the link, your account will be registered.

Step 3

After following the above process, you will be able to log in to your account. Enter your account details, which are CNIC/B-form number and password to sign in to your account.

Step 4

As soon as you log in, the admission form will be shown to you. The form has five sections: Program Selection, Personal Information, Need-Based Scholarship Form, Credit Transfer Form, Upload Documents, and Submit Application.

Step 5

All admission forms will be viewed and evaluated against admission eligibility criteria. If an applicant’s application is complete in all respects and he/she is eligible and verified, those applicants will be issued a fee voucher. However, applicants applying for Life Science programs will be issued their fee vouchers after the merit list is published. Applicants whose applications have been approved will have to pay the challan and the admission status of the applicants is available on the website under the “Admitted Candidates List” option. Once the successful candidates are selected, an admission confirmation email will be sent to all applicants on their registered email addresses. Candidates who want to register themselves after being selected by the university have to pay the fee challan and send the scanned copy to the accounts department at bs_fee@vu.edu.pk or masters_fee@vu.edu.pk. After you do this, the admission status will be published on the official website of the Virtual University under “List of Admitted Candidates”. As per the policy, only those candidates who have paid the fee challan within the due date will be admitted and an email will be sent to the admitted students immediately.

Step 6

Admitted students will be sent their admission confirmation letter by courier from the university. The confirmation letter from the University contains important information such as “Student VU ID” and “Password” which are very important to access the VU Learning Management System (LMS). Admitted candidates are advised not to share their passwords with anyone under any circumstances as they may be misused by others. The university states that it is the student’s responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of the account and its password. Students can keep their accounts secure by changing their passwords regularly.
