This is the first time in the 124-year history of Punjab University that it has set up a teaching campus outside Lahore. Gujranwala Campus has been established with the keen interest and cooperation of Hon’ble Chancellor Lt. Gen. (retd) Khalid Maqbool and capable Vice-Chancellor Lt. Gen. (retd) Arshad Mahmood. The inauguration of the sub-campus is in line with the education policy of the current government of General Pervez Musharraf (President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan), who is taking a keen interest in promoting education.

Punjab University Lahore Gujranwala Campus offers Bachelor, Master, M.Phil, Ph.D., PGD, and Diploma programs. The first, second, and third merit lists of PUGC, the result of the entry test, and the list of selected candidates for admission 2023 are available here. ilmkhoj.pk provides spring/autumn morning/evening merit lists on time. Punjab University Gujranwala Campus is located near Alipur Chowk, Rawalpindi Bypass, Gujranwala. With an area of 22 kanals, the campus building bears a striking resemblance to the old campus building of the Punjab University in Lahore. Punjab University Gujranwala has 37 classrooms, an administration block, a large multipurpose hall, and related facilities like car parking, a canteen, a book shop, and two large lawns. C appeared in the entrance test. Sc IT, M.Com (3.5 years), MBA (1.5 years), and other degree programs are eligible to apply for admission.
