The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Quetta is the only board of education in Balochistan province which is responsible for conducting matriculation and intermediate class examinations for students from Quetta as well as all parts of Balochistan. All schools and colleges in Balochistan are affiliated with BISE Quetta for their SSC and HSSC examinations. Every year thousands of regular and private students from all over Balochistan take part in the annual intermediate class examinations which are held in the months of May and June. Written and practical papers are held separately in May and June, respectively.
