BISE Kohat Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education is an education board established by the KPK government on January 19, 2002. The purpose of forming this Board of Education is to improve the education system in many areas under KPK. BISE Kohat covers Kohat District, Karak District, Hangu District, FR, Kohat, Orakzai Agency, and Kurram Agency. Students from all these districts come to take the annual examination under this Board of Education. BISE Kohat has been doing its best to promote the values of the education system in these areas or districts since its inception.
The Kohat Board conducts 9th class annual examinations and 10th class annual examinations in the months of March and April while the Board conducts 11th class annual examinations and 12th class annual examinations in the months of May and June. Written and practical papers for both SSC examinations and HSSC examinations are conducted separately. The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Kohat has the authority to conduct Matriculation and Intermediate level examinations in Kohat District and its adjoining districts and tribal areas.
