We’ve already seen the Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ as 3D renders a few times, but now we’ve got a first look at the S22 Ultra. These renders showcase a unique camera design and also provide evidence of how Samsung could end the Note series.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra bears a striking resemblance to the Galaxy Note device. The corners of the phone are flat and the display looks very symmetrical overall. However, it does not have curved displays like previous note devices. The biggest highlight here is the bottom of the S Pen slot, which convinces us that Samsung might get rid of the Note lineup.
The S22 Ultra is reported to have a 5000 mAh battery, so it looks like Samsung has found a way to rearrange the internals to make room for the S Pen.
As far as the quad-camera setup is concerned, the S22 Ultra borrows hardware from the S21 Ultra. The camera configuration is the same, but in a smaller PK-shaped cutout than any other phone, we’ve seen in the past. The punch hole front camera looks unchanged.
We won’t hear any official news from Samsung until the first quarter of 2023, as the Galaxy S21 lineup is expected to be official. This should include the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra.
