The Punjab Government, Health Department has declared DHQ Hospital, Sargodha as Allied Teaching Hospital for SMC. The college offers a degree program in MBBS and also offers the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) facility offered by the Department of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences. Sargodha Medical College (SMC) was established by the Government of Pakistan in 2006 on the instructions of the President of the Republic of Pakistan. It is a component college of Sargodha University. The college is accredited by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Board (PM&DC) Islamabad, which is the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP) for MCPS and FCPS programs.
